Q: What is the best insulation for basement walls?
A: There are a number of different types of insulation you can use for insulating your basement walls. It really depends on how much you want to spend. The first obvious choice would be a glasswool insulation like Owens Corning Insulation, CertainTeed Insulation or Johns Manville Insulation. These would be the most common to use and also the most cost effective but are subject to moisture absorption so if your basement is damp probably best not to use them. Next up would be Roxul or Thermafiber. These insulation's have the same R-Values as glasswool but offer no moisture absorption, fire protection and also has acoustic properties to dampen airborne sound. This is more expensive than standard glasswool but has its obvious advantages. Third up would be XPS insulation such like Pactiv and Polyiso insulation such like R-max/ Hunter. These insulation products are rigid boards and do not absorb moisture and also have a higher R-Value per inch thickness when compared to mineralwool or glasswool. However the price is reflected in this as these rigid boards are more expensive. Pactiv XPS will give you and R-Value of 5 per inch thickness and R-Max Polyiso will give you an R-Value of 6 per inch thickness.
Q: I live in Miami Florida. Why do I need so much insulation?
A: Whether you live in a hot climate or a cold climate insulating your home is equally important. For the cold climates we insulate our home to keep the heat within our homes. Whereby in a hot climate we insulate our homes to keep our homes air conditioned. 1000's of dollars can be wasted every year from poorly insulated homes in warm climates due to the cool air escaping via poorly insulated attics and walls.
Q: What can I use in the roof for insulation?
Insulating your roof is always a difficult job. Reason being is that you are working overhead and this type of work becomes very tiresome on your arms and neck. The best advice in a situation like this is to make sure that the floor you are walking on is secure and there are no gaps. As you are always looking up it is easy to step off an edge and fall through the ceiling andd thats another problem in itself. After you have secured your footing the next job at hand is get to work on insulating in between those rafters. Galsswool like Owens Corning / CertainTeed / Johns Manville are always great options. Its easy to install but make sure you wear a msk to avoid any airbourne fibers going into your lungs.
Polyiso and XPS are also good options here but alot more labour intensive to install but the rewards are far greater than glasswool or minerfiber like Roxul or Thermaiber. Insulating your roof is always a tough job so take your time and make sure you fill all gaps with the insulation and do not squeeze the glasswool or minerwool into place too much as that will reduce its performance.
Q: Can I specify when my order will be delivered ie. date and time?

If a delivery is unsuccessful due to the responsibility of the customer then any additional costs incurred maybe due and payable to Roofing4US prior to re-delivery.
Q: I need my order delivered to a different address to my billing address. Is this possible?
